During a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, wrestling superstar Mark Henry discussed his perspective on Joe Hendry’s inability to capture the TNA World Title at TNA Slammiversary 2024.

Henry expressed his belief that TNA Wrestling made an appropriate choice by crowning Nic Nemeth the new TNA World Champion.

Here are some of the notable points Henry made on the podcast:

Mark Henry on Joe Hendry’s lack of victory at the Slammiversary event: “Upon reflection, I believe I would have withheld Hendry. By placing him in a multi-participant match, the focus is dispersed and ideally, I’d prefer the attention to be concentrated on him.”

His reasoning for it not being Hendry’s moment to shine: “You desire the platform. You crave for all eyes to be solely on you. Had he triumphed in that match, it would have been overshadowed by Nic’s story and those of others involved. So, in my opinion, it was not his time yet.”
