Hall of Fame inductee, Mark Henry, has given insights into the complex journey of Cody Rhodes towards his triumphant position in WWE.

In 2016, not content with his Stardust persona, and grieving the loss of his father, Dusty Rhodes, Cody bid farewell to WWE.

Sharing his views on a recent episode of “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Henry explained how the challenges faced by Cody helped mold him into one of WWE’s biggest stars. He stated,

“The period of ‘Hard Times’ was necessary for him. A sharpening process was required. Guess what… Cody’s blade is now extremely sharp, and he beat Roman, swinging it all around. I’m not going to use a certain phrase as I may get into trouble, but Cody’s definitely making his presence felt.”

Total self-belief fills him. He’s relishing the authority. He’s like Neo. Unchained and primed for action.”

Indeed, Cody has emerged victorious from ‘hard times’. He’s established his footprint as the reigning WWE Champion after defeating Roman Reigns at the unprecedented WrestleMania 40.

The anticipated WWE Bad Blood 2024 will witness Rhodes and Reigns join forces to battle The Bloodline; this marks Reigns’ first return to the ring since his Philadelphia loss.

Henry has recently portrayed Cody as the ‘Supreme Leader’ of WWE. Find out more about the words of the World’s Strongest Man by clicking here.
