Becky Lynch is currently taking a break from the world of WWE, as she announced earlier this week that she was pregnant. As Lynch prepares to become a mother for the first time, Mark Henry took to SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio to discuss the fact that Lynch’s pregnancy may actually cause her to be more focused when she does return.
Referring to some of the other WWE superstars who have children, Henry said that Lynch becoming pregnant isn’t a “death sentence,” and noted that once she does return to the world of wrestling, her having a child could change her perspective on things.
“You know what, it’s not a death sentence,” he said. “She’s going to be a mom, she’s going to go away for a year, and then, you gotta look at the WWE now. Look at Tamina, look at Lacey Evans, there’s other moms that are wrestling, and there has been throughout history. I feel like Becky is going to be more focused, she’s going to be able to say ‘You know what, I’m not just doing this for me, there was a time when I was champion before, I did this for me, but now I’m doing this for little girls like my daughter. Now I’m doing this because I want to let the women of the world know that you can be whatever you want to be,’ and when she comes back, it’s going to be an unbelievable time in wrestling. Because she is going to be able to hold up that banner.”
