During a recent guest appearance on the “Battleground Podcast,” Mark Briscoe, a former ROH World Champion, spoke highly of Athena, the longest-standing champion in ROH history.
The passionate Briscoe said, “I just want to take this moment to highlight one of, if not the absolute best professional wrestler in the world, certainly in my personal top five, and that person is Athena. The manner in which she has held the Ring of Honor Women’s Title is something to be admired. And I firmly believe that when the time comes for her to join AEW, she’s going to dominate. She’s incredibly well-rounded and exceptional as both a performer and a wrestler.”
