During her recent visit to the “Niko Exxtra” podcast, Mariah May thoughfully examined the possibility of a match against Mercedes Mone, stating her conviction that AEW All In would be the ideal location for such a face-off. Previously, May has voiced her criticisms of Mone, asserting her own superiority over the TBS Champion.
Here are some extracts from the podcast:
Regarding their relationship, May said: “I wouldn’t classify our relationship as anything. We don’t share a locker room. She attempted to belittle me, suggesting I should be a ‘money shop girl’. However, also considering myself a top merchandise seller, I can handle it. Meanwhile, my All In plaques sold out in five minutes – unlike hers. So it’s clear that people would rather forget her match. But if you want to pick a fight with the world champ, you know where to find me,” she added defiantly.
When asked about acknowledging Mone’s skills, May responded: “As much as I enjoy ribbing Mercedes, she is indeed a massive star. She’s brought a lot of chatter to our division which is definitely what we need! By illuminating herself, she shines a light on all of us. I find it rather thrilling, and I would certainly relish the opportunity to pit myself against her.”
Regarding a potential match-up between them, she elaborated: “My preference? Definitely All In. A fascinating aspect of Mercedes is her versatility due to her training in Mexico and Japan. She’s seasoned, has been a world champ, plus, I spent a year in a dojo in Japan. Our journeys may differ slightly, but stylistically, I think we could offer a compelling match. Destroying her in the same way as I did Toni Storm, would certainly encapsulate the completeness of our rivalry.”
In another development, Will Ospreay took advantage of social media to extend his gratitude to his fans for their continued support, indicating he accepted any constructive criticism. Addressing his Twitter followers, he began, “Wanted to take this tweet to tell you all how extremely grateful I am being able to do the things that I do…” In conclusion, the 31-year-old Essex-born wrestler extended his thanks to the followers who have played a substantial role in his development both as a wrestler and as a man.
