During her recent guesting on the “Figure 4″ podcast, Mariah May expressed her enthusiastic pursuit of fresh challenges in the wake of AEW All In London 2024. In particular, May has a keen desire to find a rival that she could feel the same level of intense aversion for, much like her feelings towards Toni Storm.
May voiced out on the podcast saying, “For me, being someone who thrives on conflict, the hurdle I’m currently facing is finding a competitor that I can despise as intensely as Toni Storm. Competing against Toni Storm brought a level of clarity and purpose in my professional life. It gave me a defined goal to work towards each day. I had a consistent routine of interacting with Toni, dealing with her accompanying staff, and then getting ready to beat and humiliate her in the match. But now that I’ve concluded Toni Storm’s career and emerged as the AEW Women’s division champion, I’m on the lookout for a worthy adversary. I yearn for someone who can bring back those strong feelings of hostility and the eagerness to demolish them in the ring. Any women wrestlers out there in the AEW locker room who feel they can provide me with this professional thrill and purpose, I’m ready and waiting.”
Mariah May, the present title holder of the AEW Women’s World Championship, has defended her title gallantly against competitors, including Willow Nightingale, Nyla Rose, and many more.
In another podcast, “The Adam Carolla Show,” Chris Jericho discussed his wrestling experiences. He was requested to talk about his most unforgettable match. Jericho, the former AEW World Champion, hinted that he believes his career-defining match has yet to come.
Jericho expressed, “I’m still an active wrestler, I took part in a match last week, in fact. I continue to derive enjoyment from wrestling. I had a fantastic match last Saturday against a wrestler named Mark Briscoe. I’ve fought against numerous worthy opponents, like Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Jon Moxley, to name a few. Being presently engaged in wrestling, it’s not feasible to point out a ‘best match ever.’ Instead, I’d like to believe that the best is yet to come.”
Chris Jericho is set to challenge Mark Briscoe for the ROH World Title in tonight’s AEW Dynamite. An embedded video link of Chris Jericho discussing various topics was also shared.
