AEW has signed a lot of people since launching in 2019, but with that comes a cap, and Tony Khan decided to let Leva Bates go despite being one of AEW’s original signees for their women’s division.
Before going to AEW, she had a run as Blue Pants in NXT. In addition to wrestling, Bates also worked in the office, helped with Public Relations, ran the makeup and wardrobe departments, and even helped co-run the interactive ‘Heels’ club.’
Earlier this week, she confirmed she was done with the company.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, “there were a number of people sad with this news as she was very well-liked.”
