Mandy Rose appeared on this week’s episode of WWE’s The Bump and reflected on her win over Sonya Deville at WWE SummerSlam. Here are some highlights:

On her motivation heading into WWE SummerSlam:

Rose: “Honestly, I have to say I was probably the most motivated I have ever been stepping inside that ring. You know, it’s crazy. For Sonya and I to have a non-title match at SummerSlam , I think, is a huge accomplishment, and I just had a different mindset going into that match. I mean, I don’t know, I just felt like it was a new Mandy and I was just going in, and I had one goal, and that was to finally to an end to Sonya Deville.”

On whether she believed reconciliation with Deville was possible:

Rose: “Honestly, you guys know, everyone knows, Sonya and I have been through so much, we have been best friends, sisters for so long that I thought about it. It was the week of SummerSlam and with everything going on, I gave her a second chance just to…maybe we can just reconcile and just forget about everything because all of the important things that make up our friendship. And she wasn’t having it, so then it gave me, it kind of lit another fire under my a–, to be honest, and I was like, ‘Okay, well you’re not gonna take this up, and I’m just gonna finish you.’ And then we can go on our separate ways and I won’t have to worry about her, you know, showing up behind me or trying to ruin my life anymore, so it worked out I think the best way, to be honest.”

On whether she feels any remorse about ending Deville’s WWE career:

Rose: “There’s really no remorse. I think I showed, I showed some remorse prior to the match, and I think I felt, you know, like I’m gonna be the bigger person, let me give her another shot,. She didn’t want to take it, so then I was like, ‘Okay, well now you’re gonna have to deal with this.’ And to be honest, she should have thought it more thoroughly through, clearly. Because now she’s without a job.”

“I don’t feel any remorse. Honestly, I’m so relived to have her out of my life, and I don’t have to be worrying about her popping up anywhere in the hallways or wherever it may be because now I can just focus on my career, focus on myself, and you know, what I have in mind next.”
