Major League Wrestling Postpones ‘War Chamber’ Event Until 2022 Due To COVID-19 Surge In Dallas Area
Fans in Dallas are going to have to wait a bit longer to see the return of Major League Wrestling.
On Friday, MLW announced they have rescheduled their “War Chamber” event in Dallas due to the current spike in COVID-19 cases in Texas. The promotion confirmed that the event will now take place on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
DALLAS — Due to rising coronavirus numbers in the state of Texas, Major League Wrestling has rescheduled its September 11 Dallas event for Thursday March 31, 2022.
“Unfortunately, due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases and emerging lambda variant in Texas, we have come to the difficult but right decision to reschedule our September event in Texas,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer. “We don’t take postponing an event lightly, however, the health and well being of our fans, talent, staff, crew and the community remains paramount.”
Since July, the number of coronavirus patients in North Texas continues to climb. With hospitals and ICUs on the brink of capacity, the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area has been hit hard by the latest wave of the COVID-19 outbreak.
All tickets for the September 11 will be honored for the March 31, 2022 event.

On Monday, MLW advised that the promotion was monitoring the surging number of cases ahead of the event.
“Ultimately our COVID Compliance Officer will sit down with us and determine what’s in the best interest of our fans, the talent, the staff, crew and community,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer. “This virus isn’t something you roll the dice on and hope for the best. Our policy since March of last year is to operate with an abundance of caution and that’s the plan today and every day with what’s going on with the Delta variant.”
The War Chamber event was originally scheduled to feature Tom Lawlor’s Team Filthy against a team led by Ross and Marshall Von Erich, and it would have been the first time the match was hosted in MLW in nearly two years.
