Ludwig Kaiser, the professional wrestler, was forced to bow out of a recent WWE RAW episode after suffering a rib fracture. This injury hindered his breathing and incapacitated him during the match.

Speaking with Metro recently, Kaiser detailed the incident and mentioned that he continued to wrestle for a good ten minutes despite his injury. Read the key points from the interview:

When he was asked about how the injury happened, he said, “It came during one of the harshest weekends. I was participating in a dark match on SmackDown on Friday, played live matches for the subsequent two days, and then the Raw match came along. I was already a little battered prior to it, having troubles with my rib. And well, very early into the match – possibly within the first or second minute, I took a fall, and instantly knew my rib had broken. I was unable to breathe or make any movements. That was the situation.”

In regards to continuing the match post-injury, he said, “Whenever you face unfavorable circumstances, the best strategy is to take them in stride and make the most out of them. That’s exactly what we did. We managed to carry it out, it was okay, but with no doubt, I want to be there in the ring, wrestling a and performing . Although this injury has been a nuisance, I am grateful for my genes and my recovery speed. I am recuperating wonderfully, and will be back soon. But, it’s frustrating for me as I want to be present every week.”

When asked about his experience of working with his girlfriend, Tiffany Stratton, he said, “Her personal involvement in this field provides her with a deeper understanding of certain situations, or sympathizes with me when I come home worn out or not up for going out. Of course, it is strenuous being on two separate shows since we get to spend a full day together only on Wednesdays. Nonetheless, we are content at the end of the day. We have a joyous life and are very grateful for it.”
