Logan Paul Reveals Paul Heyman’s Post-WWE Royal Rumble 2024 Match Advice

Logan Paul retained the WWE United States Championship via DQ over Kevin Owens at this past Saturday’s 2024 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.

The match happened after the Fatal 4-Way Undisputed WWE Universal Title match that saw Roman Reigns retain the title.

Speaking on a recent edition of his “IMPAULSIVE” podcast, Logan Paul commented on retaining his title. He said,

“Kevin Owens is better than I thought. He’s good. I made fun of him. Frequently. Called him all sorts of things. Called him the Humpty Dumpty of WWE. Called him a 40-year-old school boy who dressed like a teenager. I underestimated him and I’m in a little bit of pain. I’m in a little bit of pain. I did retain my title, against all odds, for the first time in WWE. One title defense at a time. Who knows, at this rate, I could be the next Roman Reigns. I’m in pain. I bled.”

He continued, “The position of the match was difficult. We were after the women’s Royal Rumble and the fatal four-way with Roman Reigns where he also retained his championship. Paul Heyman, after the match, comes out and everyone is chest out, they knew they just blew the f**king roof off with Roman. Paul Heyman goes, ‘Come here, son.’ Motions me over. ‘What’s up Paul?’ He goes, ‘You want some motivation?’ ‘Absolutely.’ He goes, ‘Follow that motherf**ker.’ He goes, ‘You can do it.’ Kevin, he’s ruthless, I’ll be honest with you. He has fingerprints on my chest. My shoulder. I’ll be honest, I underestimated him. I was playing chess and he was playing checkers.”

Logan Paul Retains WWE United States Championship via DQ Over Kevin Owens

In a surprising turn of events, Logan Paul managed to retain the WWE United States Championship against Kevin Owens at the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. The match took place after the highly anticipated Fatal 4-Way Undisputed WWE Universal Title match, which saw Roman Reigns successfully defend his title.

Reflecting on his victory, Logan Paul shared his thoughts on his “IMPAULSIVE” podcast. He admitted underestimating Kevin Owens, acknowledging that he had frequently made fun of him in the past. Paul had referred to Owens as the “Humpty Dumpty of WWE” and a “40-year-old school boy who dressed like a teenager.” However, after their encounter in the ring, Paul realized Owens’ true talent and expressed his respect for him. He also mentioned being in pain due to the physicality of the match and proudly stated that he had successfully defended his title for the first time in WWE.

The positioning of their match within the event also played a significant role in Paul’s experience. Following the women’s Royal Rumble and the intense fatal four-way match involving Roman Reigns, Paul found himself facing the challenge of following two highly entertaining bouts. After his match, Paul received motivation from none other than Paul Heyman, Reigns’ advocate. Heyman encouraged him by saying, “Follow that motherf**ker” and expressed his belief in Paul’s ability to deliver an impressive performance. Despite underestimating Owens initially, Paul acknowledged his opponent’s ruthlessness and admitted that he was playing chess while Owens was playing checkers.

This unexpected turn of events has sparked discussions among wrestling fans. Logan Paul’s involvement in WWE has been met with mixed reactions since his debut. While some appreciate his celebrity status and the attention it brings to the sport, others argue that it takes away opportunities from more deserving wrestlers. Regardless of these debates, Paul’s victory over Kevin Owens has undoubtedly added an intriguing twist to the ongoing WWE narrative.

As Logan Paul continues his journey in the WWE, fans eagerly anticipate his future matches and how he will fare against other talented wrestlers. Only time will tell if he can truly follow in the footsteps of Roman Reigns and become a dominant force in the WWE.
