Liv Morgan, talked about her training experiences for WWE and recounted the memory of receiving her first bodyslam from Nia Jax while being a guest on the “No-Contest Wrestling” podcast.
You can catch the main takeaways from the discussion here:
Discussing her debut bodyslam: “Nia Jax and I were attending the same training session when I first started my training. Body slams were being taught and Nia ended up giving me my debut bodyslam. It was quite an experience and the feeling was intense. I remember thinking ‘Is this how it feels every time?’ It was quite a reality check.”
Her insights on working in a ring: “The ring is built with steel posts, overlaid with layers of wooden planks. There is also a thin layer of somewhat styrofoam-like padding that is enveloped with a tightly stretched canvas to hold it all in place. It isn’t bouncy or cushioned. You won’t gain any extra lift if you jump. Essentially, it’s a hard floor that has no bounce.”
Back in the initial days of their respective careers, The Undertaker didn’t have a high opinion of Shawn Michaels as a person. However, he enjoyed sharing the ring with him.
In a fresh installment of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, The Undertaker candidly spoke about his professional experiences with Shawn Michaels, famously known as The Heartbreak Kid. He stated,
“I wasn’t particularly fond of him as a person, but as a wrestling partner, there was nobody I’d prefer. It’s a truly a strong statement to make. I’ve been in the ring with legends. The absolute titans of the wrestling world. Shawn had a rare ability. He could create a five-star match out of thin air.”
Further adding, “There was some inexplicable chemistry between us. When I shared a ring with Shawn, all I had to do was be The Undertaker, and he would effortlessly be Shawn Michaels. Everything just fell into place.”
