In a recent interview on the “Insight” podcast, WWE Superstar Austin Theory shared about his short stint in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Theory played a minor role in “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” which premiered in 2017. He can be seen in the final scene as an inmate in the facility where the antagonist, the Vulture, is incarcerated.
In the conversation, Theory shared, “That was an intense day. We were actually shooting in the Jackson Prison in Georgia. We slipped into prisoner garb and were instructed not to engage with the inmates or touch anything while walking in line, especially the bars, as the inmates were quite rowdy,” related Theory. “It felt so real. We were aligned in two lines moving in opposite directions. Amidst this, the scene featuring Michael Keaton was shot and you can glimpse me walking past swiftly in the scene. A few have spotted me in it and speculated online about me being re-introduced into the Marvel Universe. As committed as I’ve been to WWE, my interest extends to other areas too. That said, WWE remains my priority for now and I anticipate this focus to remain unchanged for some time. Still, I’m open to exploring other opportunities.
On another note, WWE wrestler Liv Morgan has had an impressive 2021 and hopes to enhance it further by triumphing in the tag team championship.
She and Raquel Rodriguez are scheduled to compete against Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair for the Women’s Tag team Titles in tonight’s WWE RAW showdown.
In a separate interview with TMZ, Morgan confidently stated, “Certainly, I’m 100% determined to win those tag team championships. We will be recognized as the inaugural three-time Women’s Tag Team Champions. It will be another record-breaking achievement, and I’ll possess three titles. Trust me, if you find my laughter or my voice irritating now, you’re going to be hearing a lot more from me!”
