During a panel at Comic-Con Northern Ireland 2024, the WWE legend and Hall of Famer, Lita expressed her desire to face Rhea Ripley in a one-on-one wrestling match. The two wrestling sensations had a brief brush with each other in a Royal Rumble encounter.
During her Q&A session at the fan convention, Lita was questioned about her preferred opponent in a theoretical match-up. The answer she gave was crystal clear. She remarked,
“I’ve had a fleeting interaction with Rhea Ripley in the Royal Rumble, who has exponentially grown and developed diverse aspects to her character since then. It would be wonderful to face her one-on-one.”
Lita and Rhea Ripley were both seen in action at the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble event, which was marked by Ronda Rousey’s spectacular win in her first match after a hiatus of nearly three years.
Ripley, an up-and-coming wrestling sensation, has consistently expressed her admiration for Lita, identifying her as a significant role model in the wrestling world. Notably, Ripley has also extended a request to WWE higher-ups for an opportunity to face Lita in the ring.
