During a recent question and answer session at Comic-Con North Ireland, WWE Hall of Famer, Lita, took some time to talk about her 2006 storyline, involving Edge (real name, Adam Copeland), and John Cena.
Here are some noteworthy moments from her discussion:
Lita delved into her story arc with Edge and her rivalry with John Cena, saying, “When Edge and I were teamed together, it seemed like we were up against John Cena for about a year. This was not only the case on-screen, but during live events as well. One thing that I really appreciated about this period was the collaborative nature of both of these men. While some wrestlers like to take control and dictate what you’re going to do on a given night, these two were more than willing to work together.”
Speaking about their team dynamics, Lita further explained, “As we continued to work together for an extended period, we achieved a level of ‘telepathy’ that wrestlers often speak about. A mere glance at each other was enough to understand what the other person wanted. It was quite exciting to play the roles of heels during that time, as the crazier we got, the more entertaining it was. John really facilitated this, allowing both Edge and me to be as absurd as we wanted.”
