Lio Rush participated in the TNT Title bout during the AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 pay-per-view tournament on Sunday. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury in the contest. He has since provided an update about his present health condition.

At the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 showdown, the TNT Championship witnessed an intense Ladder Match involving Jack Perry, Rush, El Phantasmo, Dante Martin, Mark Briscoe, and Konosuke Takeshita. Perry managed to find his way to the top, securing the prestigious title in the end.

In the aftermath of the event, it was disclosed that Lio Rush had sustained an injury during the contest. As a result, the ex-WWE Superstar had to pull out from the forthcoming Americanrana show hosted by Beyond Wrestling scheduled for July 4.

Addressing his injury, Rush used Twitter as a platform to assure his fans that he will take the necessary time to heal, which includes a couple of ice baths. He also expressed positive thoughts concerning his recovery.

He posted the following, I’m not suffering, but man am I in some pain. What a night. What a match. I’ll be back for more. Thanks to everyone for supporting me on this adventure through the #ForbiddenDoor.

Rush added another tweet, reassuring, I’m good guys. A few ice baths and I’ll be back to normal. I welcome the concern.
