Lio Rush Retains NXT Cruiserweight Championship At WWE Survivor Series Kickoff

At WWE Survivor Series Kickoff, NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush defended his title against Akira Tozawa, representing WWE RAW, and Kalisto, representing WWE SmackDown. After a competitive match, Rush pinned Kalisto to retain the title.

Throughout the match, all three men proved why they’re some of the best cruiserweights in WWE. At one point, Rush and Tozawa exchanged quick strikes and Kalisto nearly stole a pin on the champion. Tozawa hit a high-flying senton on Rush for a near fall. Rush pinned Kalisto after he hit the Final Hour. Kalisto had just planted Tozawa with the Salida del Sol and Rush capitalized to retain the title.
