wXw has quite the card lined up for their upcoming 16-Carat Gold 2020 card, but it unfortunately won’t include one featured name: WWE’s Lio Rush.

wXw took to social media to announce that Rush was pulled from the show by WWE, but the promotion sure made lemonade out of the matter by booking one of wrestling’s hottest free agents in Jeff Cobb.

“Unfortunately WWE has pulled @itsLioRush from #wXw16Carat due to his WWE schedule. We are as dissapointed about this as you are. We are excited to confirm @RealJeffCobb as Lio’s replacement for #wXw16Carat. Tickets, info, schedule, FAQ: https://wxw-wrestling.com/pages/posts/wxw-16-carat-gold-2020-5931.php

Alex Shelley was also going to be a featured player on the event, but voluntarily pulled out due concerns of the coronavirus.

Other talents like WALTER, Timothy Thatcher, Eddie Kingston, David Starr and Bandido are still advertised for the card.
