Pro-Wrestler Lio Rush has pledged to emerge as the new ROH TV Champion from tonight’s ROH Death Before Dishonor’s Survival of the Fittest match. He will enter the ring to challenge Atlantis Jr., Shane Taylor, Lee Johnson, Brian Cage, and Johnny TV for the championship.
In a digital exclusive, Rush revealed his ambition to secure the championship title. He stated,
“Tonight’s match didn’t go as expected. I’m not sure whose brilliant idea it was to have us all wrestle, but I got caught up in the turmoil, me of all people. The champion, Atlantis, was the one who got pinned tonight. I hope he’s accustomed to being at the bottom because at Death Before Dishonor, he will be pinned again, this time with me emerging victoriously.”
Rush further added, “You may not know me, but just ask around. I’m the winner of the 2016 Top Prospect and I’ve proven my worth once, now I’m back for more. I’m eyeing the gold, brother. Survival of the fittest. Trust me, at the end of it, Leo Rush will be the new Ring of Honor television champion. Let me clarify that, the new World television champion. That championship is destined to be mine.”

Elsewhere, reigning ROH Women’s World Champion Athena expressed her interest in wrestling against talents like Mayu Iwatani and Thekla.
During her recent interview on the “Sports Guys Talking Wrestling” podcast, Athena mentioned Iwatani and Thekla as individuals she would look forward to wrestling in the future. She said,
“There are many, but if we discuss the Forbidden Door, I’ve never been to Japan but have always desired to. I’m a covert admirer of Mayu Iwatani, and would love to get in the ring with her. Another woman in Stardom I’m intrigued by is Thekla.”
Athena further mentioned, “Several wrestlers from Tokyo Joshi Pro come to mind. Honestly, the options are infinite with countless incredible women making waves in the sport. I’m keen on making indelible moments with them.”
