Lio Rush Defeats Akira Tozawa To Retain Cruiserweight Title

Lio Rush and Akira Tozawa went at it during tonight’s episode of NXT, where the two dueled for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. In an incredibly high-flying match between two of the brands best, it was Rush who was able to come away with the win, retaining his championship.

Missile dropkick by Tozawa. After a series of reversals Rush and Tozawa kick each other in the face at the same time. Tozawa German suplexes Rush off the apron! Rush kicks Tozawa in the head. Tozawa’s mouth guard falls out. Tozawa collapses to the mat. Rush tries the come up but Tozawa isn’t there. Rush kicks Tozawa a few times. Rush tries the come up again but Tozawa turns it into a German suplex. Tozawa hits another suplex. Tozawa tries a top rope senton but Rush gets his knees up. Rush hits the Final Hour to Tozawa’s back. Rush hits another Final Hour for the win.
