The one-time WWE CEO, Linda McMahon, has garnered a confirmation as the US Secretary of Education, winning a Senate vote of 51-45.
Donald Trump, previously convicted, put forward her nomination in the previous November. McMahon has an impressive history under her belt, initially serving as the leader of the Small Business Administration before transitioning to the role as Chairwoman of the pro-Trump Super PAC, America First Action. After her term, she chose to resign from the position.
During the course of her confirmatory hearing, a lawsuit involving five previous WWE ring boys was brought up but there was no acknowledgement on her part of being a defendant. McMahon was emphatic about her dedication to fairly handle sexual harassment investigations.
It is worthy of mention that despite being confirmed as the Secretary of Education, Linda McMahon does not hold any background in education.
