Lin-Manuel Miranda, renowned playwright and creator of famed musicals such as Hamilton and In The Heights, was seen attending last week’s TV tapings for WWE SmackDown. Of particular note was his witnessing of The Usos’ reunion, a significant event for WWE fans.
The latest episode of “WWE Mic’d Up” features an interview where Miranda talked about his firsthand experience of the pivotal moment. He expressed his excitement, likening the event’s realness to that of seeing an original cast member return to a Broadway production.
In his own words, Miranda said, “That st is so real though! We’ve been waiting for that since WrestleMania.” When asked if he felt there could be a more impactful moment, he responded, “No, there isn’t. [The] only Broadway equivalent of this is like when you get an original cast member back into a show. It’s like, ‘Oh my god. That’s fking Idina Menzel, and she’s back in the green makeup [for Wicked].’ 100% [hardcore Broadway fans pop the same way].”

In related news, WWE is broadcasting a marathon of Champion vs. Champion matches for fans to enjoy on their streaming platform.
On another note, Kevin Owens has publicly declared his intention to end his friendship with Randy Orton at the WWE Crown Jewel 2024 event. During the kickoff for Crown Jewel 2024, Owens told Orton, “You know Randy, the only voices in your head, what they should be saying is that you’re a disgusting human being. You should be ashamed of yourself. You think these people love you? I loved you. I would have never done what you did to me, to you. I thought what we had was real special, and on Saturday night, I’m putting down RKO for good.”
