In a recent episode of his podcast, “Lex Expressed”, Lex Luger shared insights about his transformation from the Narcissist to a hero figure in WWE.
In the latest episode of the podcast, Luger expressed that he was caught off guard when the transformation from the Narcissist to the All American took place, a shift that came about in mid-1993 following Hulk Hogan’s departure from the company.
Luger stated, “I was blindsided by it. Vince asked to speak with me in his office and explained everything to me. I nearly believed he was pulling my leg because I had just begun embracing the Narcissist persona, and there was a lot of momentum with that. I wondered, ‘Are you serious? Transitioning from a Narcissist obsessed with mirrors to a character draped in red, white, and blue?’ His response was simply, ‘Yup…’”
He further added, “Not long after our discussion, I visited the corporate headquarters and participated in a launch event. All the staff were present in the parking garage when I drove off on the bus marking my first appearance. It happened so quickly that I had to inform my family that I would essentially be away for the entire summer.”
