On April 18, wrestling icon Lex Luger will be formally inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, in honor of his distinguished career across WWE, WCW and even beyond.

During a recent episode of the “WrestleBinge” podcast, Luger addressed questions surrounding his current health status, revealing,

“Following my spinal cord surgery, I regained a bit of mobility. I’m part of the two percent category. They label me as a high-functioning quadriplegic. I am a quadriplegic, but I still grapple with numerous impacts up until today.”

“I’ve experienced some frightening falls over the years, prompting doctors to recommend usage of a walker and wheelchair more often. The old adage goes, ‘If you don’t use it, you lose it.”

“Despite my mobility issues stemming from my injury, I could live independently and my overall health condition is excellent. Other than my mobility issues due to the injury, I have no medicines to take. I’m in great health, something I’m deeply grateful for.”

During the prestigious event, Luger will join the ranks of other WWE greats like Triple H, Michelle McCool, the Natural Disasters, and the pair behind the WrestleMania 13 match- Bret Hart and Steve Austin.

Interestingly, despite being currently under contract with All Elite Wrestling, Sting has been named by Luger as his preferred choice to officiate the induction ceremony.
