In the world of TNA Wrestling, Leon Slater has expressed a keen interest in seeing Ricochet, a performer currently involved with the WWE, join the ranks of the TNA roster. This news follows closely behind reports indicating Ricochet’s imminent departure from the WWE.
It’s said that Ricochet has communicated his decision to WWE’s management, expressing his intent to leave the enterprise after his contract finishes up this summer. This departure brings to a close a noteworthy six-year tenure with the WWE, which kicked off in 2018.
Leon Slater, who became a part of the TNA family last year, recently shared his thoughts on the potential inclusion of Ricochet into their wrestling lineage, during an exclusive interaction with Cultaholic Wrestling. Slater put forth his views saying,
“There’s no two ways about it, having Ricochet among us would be incredibly exciting. I think many of us from this generation have taken a lot of inspiration from his style. We’ve seen him and [Will Ospreay] showcasing a completely fresh and innovative style that we’ve all attempted to incorporate into our performances. The opportunity to collaborate with Ricochet would be nothing short of sensational, and I believe his entrance could potentially act as a wake-up call for all of us in the X-Division to elevate our skills.
Moreover, I can say without any hesitation, Ricochet is one of the all-time greatest high-flying performers, and one of the standouts in the execution of our style of wrestling. In my opinion, competing with him would not only be a fabulous challenge, but it would also motivate me to step up my game.”
Ricochet holds the unique distinction of being the only wrestler to have clinched the WWE U.S., Intercontinental, and NXT North American Championships, along with being the first WWE Speed Champion.
