
TNA standout Leon Slater is known for his unique finishing move, the Swanton 450.
In his latest talk with WhatCulture, Slater shared his inspiration for developing this move, attributing it to his admiration for The Hardys.
Slater shared in the interview, “The idea behind the Swanton 450 is a mix of being a lifelong wrestling trainee and an enormous fan of the Hardy Boys during my childhood. Matt and Jeff were my role models. I used to watch them a lot during my infancy, and their impact on me was huge. The Swanton 450 is a move I have honed over the years. It began when I was 10 or 11 and intensively practicing the 450. I eventually evolved it based on my increased athleticism and the conducive environment that PPW offered to experiment new things…”
He went on to reveal, “I took a progressive approach towards perfecting it. Every week, I would add a new component – first the head, then arms, and subsequently, the legs. I kept refining these movements until I established what it is now. It’s something unique to me as I do not know anyone else who can perform it… I think it has become my signature move …”
Independent wrestler Goldenboy Santos who recently attended WWE tryouts in the UK spoke about his experience as both satisfying and affirming.
During his feature on the “This Is A Revolution” podcast, Santos reminisced about the WWE UK tryouts.
He disclosed, “The whole experience was uplifting. Despite being relatively less known among the wrestlers present there, I found comfort in knowing everyone. It was akin to being at home due to the existing relationship and support from everyone. It was a dream come true for me…”
