Leon Ruff Shocks Johnny Gargano, Wins NXT North American Championship

In a stunning start to tonight’s episode of NXT, Leon Ruff shocked Johnny Gargano to become the newest NXT North American Champion, with Damian Priest watching on and enjoying himself as Ruff captured the title.
Things started with Gargano coming down to the ring, telling the NXT audience that he believes his title reigns were cursed, and that in order to break the curse, he was going to spin a wheel to pick his next opponent. The wheel – which seemed rigged – landed on none other than Leon Ruff, who Gargano toyed with for most the match. However, late in the match once Gargano was gloating over his potential win, Damian Priest – who was watching from ringside – walked over to the ring, distracting Gargano and allowing Ruff to land a Crucifix driver for the victory, shockingly defeating Gargano and becoming the newest champion.

Ruff lands some early offense but is tossed to the outside area. Gargano sends Ruff into the barricade. Damien Priest is watching from the crowd. Gargano mocks Ruff. Ruff rolls Gargano up for a quick two count. Gargano lawn darts Ruff into the middle turnbuckle. Gargano gloats. Priest walks to the ring. In the confusion, Ruff hits a Crucifix driver for the win… wait, WHAT???
