Legendary Memphis Announcer Dave Brown Thanks AEW; Plans To Return
This past Wednesday AEW Dynamite tipped their cap to the historical impact and legacy of Memphis Wrestling and in an effort to do so, brought legendary broadcaster Dave Brown behind the booth for AEW Dark. Brown was a Memphis stalwart back in it’s heyday alongside the late Lance Russell and it’s been the first time fans have seen the 73-year-old Brown back in the wrestling fold for years. Brown took to Twitter to thank Tony Khan for his generosity, in which Khan responded in kind, stating that the legend will be back with All Elite Wrestling.
Thank you, Dave. It was an honor to work with you + set it up for you to call your first live nationally televised match after all of the thousands of bouts you’ve called since you started in wrestling in 1967. As we agreed last night, you’ll be back in @AEWrestling, my friend!
