Layla recently conveyed her anticipation for Michelle McCool’s forthcoming entry into the WWE Hall of Fame as a 2025 class member.
While conversing on the popular podcast “Busted Open Radio”, Layla affirmed that she shall be a present spectator at the ceremony, extending her support to her one time LayCool partner from tag team. She exuded,
“Michelle’s induction is completely her achievement, she’s earned it on her own basis, even before the idea of LayCool was a thought. As for me, I’m excited to be there. It’s an immense moment for me because it gives me an opportunity to celebrate my closest friend. I want to be present, relish her moment of glory.”
Maintaining her emotion, she further added, “Even though I’ll always be associated with Michelle through LayCool, this is her individual accomplishment. She’s reached this stage on her own talent and I am immensely proud of her. I’m here just to extend my support and present an outpouring of love.”
Recently, CM Punk astonished everyone with his revelation on “The Rich Eisen Show” where he acknowledged that he never even contemplated returning to WWE, until he actually took that step. Speaking about his unforeseen comeback in November 2023 succeeding his departure from AEW, Punk referenced the notable administrative changes in WWE, specifically Vince McMahon’s resignation from the company, as a significant influence in his decision. He candidly admitted,
“Once, I had emphatically stated, I would ‘never ever return’. However, life is a great teacher and it has taught me to ‘never say never’. Had the regime and the environment still been the same, I doubt if the idea of approaching each other would have even cropped up. It was unforeseeable.”
Building up on this, he further explained, “The upheaval in the corporate ladder created the ideal situation and timing. The importance of timing in life and sports can not be emphasized more. It all started with a brilliantly timed idea that eventually resulted in an enormous success.”
