The 2024 WWE Draft will begin on the April 26th episode of WWE SmackDown and it will then carry over to the April 29th episode of WWE RAW.

According to a report from Fightful Select, the roster-shuffling is once again planned to coincide with the NFL Draft in order to capitalize on the media focus.

It is said that the WWE NXT brand will be included in this year’s WWE Draft, and it’s possible that main roster talent will be sent over to NXT.

The Final Testament, Ivar and Natalya appeared on last week’s episode of WWE NXT, which set the stage for other main roster stars to be drafted over as WWE wants to continue putting their focus on making NXT the “third brand” and not just the developmental brand.

According to multiple sources, the next two weeks of WWE NXT programming will focus on the draft as they lead into NXT Spring Breakin’.

As far as WWE NXT talent possibly being drafted to RAW or SmackDown is concerned, several talents have been told by Shawn Michaels that he doesn’t currently know who will be drafted from the brand. With that being said, Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov are both said to be “a lock” to be drafted. A move for Roxanne Perez is still uncertain. Additionally, the D’Angelo Family and Baron Corbin have both been talked about as potential draftees.

In other news, Bret Hart will be taking part in a Q&A session for Professional Championship Wrestling in Australia. The event will take place on Friday at the South Eastern Entertainment Centre in Victoria.

The 2024 WWE Draft is set to take place on April 26th and April 29th, with the roster-shuffling coinciding with the NFL Draft to maximize media attention. This year’s draft will also include the WWE NXT brand, potentially leading to main roster talent being sent over to NXT.

The recent appearance of The Final Testament, Ivar, and Natalya on WWE NXT hinted at the possibility of more main roster stars being drafted to NXT. This aligns with WWE’s goal of establishing NXT as the “third brand” rather than just a developmental territory.

Over the next two weeks, WWE NXT programming will focus on the draft as they build up to NXT Spring Breakin’. This indicates that the draft will play a significant role in shaping the future of the brand.

While it remains uncertain which WWE NXT talent will be drafted to RAW or SmackDown, Shawn Michaels has reportedly informed several talents that he is unaware of the draft decisions. However, Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov are said to be “a lock” for being drafted.
