On Wednesday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that not only is AJ Styles still hopeful to work WrestleMania 36, but he’s still in the plans for the show.

This comes after he suffered a separated shoulder in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match on Sunday after taking a spear from Edge. The injury was confirmed by Styles while he was on Mixer. Styles also said that he wouldn’t miss WrestleMania.

Meltzer said Styles is optimistically four-to-six weeks away from a full recovery. Styles doesn’t blame Edge for the injury but rather he wanted to take a big bump for the spot and simply landed wrong.

The WrestleMania 36 show goes down on Sunday, April 5, 2020 in Tampa, Florida at the Raymond James Stadium.
