Recent developments about Jade Cargill hint at a possible story shift regarding her purported injury and her status as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.
The November 22 episode of WWE SmackDown saw Cargill apparently assaulted in the parking area which led to Bianca Belair leaving her match midway to look after her.
Initial reports suggested Cargill might need three months or more to recover from her supposed injury, but the details about her condition have remained hazy.
However, it was later shared that Jade is not facing any physical issue and that the entire narrative including the WWE’s ‘injury’ announcement has been a part of a larger storyline.
Credentials about her injury status were added when Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select’s Q&A dropped the news that Cargill’s name was included in WWE’s internal injury roster.
Echoing this sentiment, Bryan Alvarez from Wrestling Observer Live confirmed that Cargill is, in fact, injured, but he didn’t provide an estimated timeline for her return to the ring.
Given Cargill’s current unavailability, the WWE is contemplating its plans for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Further information about this matter can be found here.
