Although many in AEW believe it’s a “foregone conclusion” that Ospreay will eventually sign with the company, and that may have been true months back, the British wrestler’s mind is reportedly open about his pending future.

WWE is said to have shown tremendous interest in Ospreay, and there have been conversations and contact between both sides.

However, Ospreay’s camp is yet to confirm this.

WWE sources have confirmed that “preliminary overtures” have been made toward Ospreay although it’s unknown what type of overtures these could be.

Also, WWE has yet to comment on the matter in an official capacity.

Impact Wrestling and AEW are both still interested in the IWGP UK Heavyweight Champion, and both companies have enjoyed working with him in recent months.

WWE is supposedly gearing up for NXT Europe, and Impact Wrestling will rebrand back to TNA Wrestling in January 2024. WWE NXT and TNA have plans to step up their presence in Europe as well, and that could impress Ospreay in the contract negotiations.

Meanwhile, NJPW would like to retain Ospreay, but the Japanese promotion does not expect it on the same type of deal he is currently signed to.

Ospreay is currently scheduled to wrestle for NJPW through January. He will defend the IWGP US/UK Championship against Jon Moxley and David Finlay in a Triple Threat Match at Wrestle Kingdom 18.
