Just a handful of weeks after a huge hardcore match between Lance Archer and Jon Moxley at Wrestle Kingdom 14, it seems that the big man may be following Jon home. Sports Illustrated has published rumors that the former WWE and TNA talent is in talks to reemerge in the states under the AEW banner.
Archer (real name Lancy Hoyt) has a checkered past in the US. He premiered on the national stage in TNA, featuring prominently on Impact as Lance Rock alongside Jimmy Rave in the Rock ‘n Rave Connection. His brief runs in WWE’s SmackDown and ECW brands were much less notable, but he has really made a name for himself in Japan since arriving in New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 2015. If the AEW rumors prove to be true, the company has another top tier talent on their hands that could wrestle in any spot on the card with ease.
WrestleZone has reached out to all involved parties and will keep readers posted with any new developments.
