The quarterfinals of the AEW TNT Championship Tournament will continue this week and semi-finalist Lance Archer will certainly be keeping tabs. Sammy Guevara will be taking on Darby Allin this week and Archer makes note that he has never faced “The Spanish God” despite both being from The Lone Star State of Texas.

Archer took to Twitter to touch upon that fact and also express his interest in two to staring “chest to face” as The Murderhawk Monster so put it.

“Fun fact. @sammyguevara and I have never fought. Even in all our time in TX at the same time. Not once did we square off. Might be interesting if we faced off (well. His face in my chest anyways) in the finals of tha @AEWrestling

Sammy’s response? “I welcome this fight,” stated the Inner Circle member. Archer wasn’t so sure of his colleague’s self assuredness, Tweeting, “You say that now while you’re “safe at home”. But. We end up inside them ropes. Your tune will change quickly as I Quicken you!”

While Sammy sets himself up for his fight against Allin, Archer awaits the winner of Dustin Rhodes vs. Kip Sabian, a match in which Rhodes has decided to put his career on the line for.
