In a recent discourse with Carlo Perruzza, ex-WWE superstar Lacey Evans shared her thoughts on attempting to exit from WWE and the company’s denial of her request. Additionally, Evans discussed becoming pregnant at the time when she was scheduled to take the championship title.
Delving into her WWE contractual situation, Evans said: “It was amazing being part of WWE, a company that I loved and invested much in. I am grateful for all the knowledge and relationships it brought me. But being a mom and a wife was always my priority. Though I had to bide my time until my contract expired in August as WWE wouldn’t allow me to step out, I have always welcomed motherhood.”
Discussing her pregnancy and championship plans, she stated: “I’m a proud mother of two and I’ve always wanted a big family. My journey to the title and vision of becoming a champion was exciting, nonetheless, I communicated to the company beforehand about my family plans. When I asked Vince McMahon about my plan to start a family, he gave his blessings with one condition that I would return post-pregnancy, which I lived up to.”
On her pregnancy coinciding with her championship plans, Evans said: “Following our conversation, Vince McMahon decided within three months, to have me hold the title. To his surprise, I was pregnant already. After my daughter’s birth, I prioritized her upbringing over my career. Despite WWE’s lifestyle, I chose not to raise my newborn in such a setting.”
Lacey Evans officially left WWE in August 2023.
