LA Knight was no fan of working under the creative management of Vince McMahon, the SmackDown Superstar revealed this week.
On a recent edition of the “Insight” podcast, Knight spoke about how McMahon had a vision for the veteran that Knight himself just couldn’t see. He said,
“[Vince McMahon] had a vision for this thing that put such a microscope on it and I didn’t know what the hell it was… and it just wasn’t going well. I was very unhappy, and I’m sure he probably was, and then at some point it was just like all of a sudden I’m not on TV, and I’m like, well, I’m pretty sure I’m fired. I’m pretty sure this whole ride is over.”
With McMahon no longer a factor in WWE’s creative plans, the megastar has become one of WWE’s top names and often gets the loudest pops on WWE SmackDown.
Knight will join Randy Orton & AJ Styles in challenging Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns later this month at the Royal Rumble event.
