A role in a restaurant helped inspire LA Knight’s popular ‘Everybody’ catchphrase according to the SmackDown Superstar.

Knight has become one of WWE’s most popular Superstars on the current roster, with WWE said to be well aware of his popularity among fans.

During a recent edition of the “After the Bell” podcast, Knight went into detail about the origins of his catchphrase. He said,

“When I used to have a restaurant job, when you’d go around the corner, because you’re carrying drinks and food and stuff, you don’t want to bump into people, so you’d go, ‘Corner!’ For whatever reason, I didn’t want to say, ‘Corner!’ So as I went around the corner, I’d go, ‘Everybody!’ and so then, people knew I was coming.

“It’s just dumb stuff that I would say just naturally. If I’m saying it in real life, why wouldn’t I say it here?”

Knight won the Slim Jim-sponsored battle royal at last weekend’s SummerSlam 2023 pay-per-view event, the biggest win of his main roster run since being called up to SmackDown last year.
