Kyle O’Reilly did not team with Bobby Fish as per usual on last night’s episode of NXT. Now, the reason for this has come to light courtesy of a new report.

According to Dave Meltzer on the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Kyle missed the April 15th episode due to the fact that he’s a diabetic and at higher risk for the Coronavirus. On television, however, it was said that Kyle is injured and not medically cleared to compete. Roderick Strong would end up tagging with Bobby Fish to face another makeshift team in the reunited Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher of Catch Point.

Kyle O’Reilly hasn’t competed since the March 11th episode of NXT, which was actually the first show taped from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, but that was a planned taping with a live audience. Kyle has not appeared since the outbreak of the pandemic and the elevated safety precautions were put into place.
