KUSHIDA On His Title Match At IMPACT Rebellion, Billy Corgan To Appear In ‘The Muppets Mayhem’

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, KUSHIDA discussed his upcoming match against Steve Maclin for the vacant Impact World Championship at this weekend’s Rebellion pay-per-view event.

The most recent champion, Josh Alexander had to relinquish the Impact World Title due to suffering a torn triceps which required surgery.

KUSHIDA on facing Steve Maclin for the Impact World Title: “This is the opportunity I need. I thank the gods of pro wrestling for giving it to me. I’ve never gotten the top championship. That means you are the face of the company. I want to be the driving force behind the company. I want to bring Impact all over the world.”

On competing for the world title: “Wrestling for the world title is a dream. I can’t wait to make it come true.”

Rebellion takes place on Sunday, April 16, at the Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In other news, NWA President Billy Corgan has announced that he will be appearing in the upcoming Disney+ Muppets television series, The Muppets Mayhem, which premieres on Disney+ on May 5. The new comedy series will star The Electric Mayhem Band as Nora (Lilly Singh), the junior music executive, who manages and wrangles the musical band as the group embarks on a thrilling music-filled journey.

The series will also feature appearances from real-life celebrity guests such as Kesha, Tommy Lee, Lil Nas X, Kevin Smith, Steve Aoki, and Weird Al Yankovic.

The Muppets Mayhem will debut on Disney+ on May 10.
