During a recent participation in the “WFAN” podcast, Kurt Angle talked about how Vince McMahon and his on-screen character Mr. McMahon are one and the same. He was quoted as saying, “There’s not much of a difference. Vince is Vince. He’s always showed his true colors, all the time. I took a quick liking to Vince. I liked him, and he became somewhat of a father figure for me. What’s stunning is that I always spent ample time with him, but I never saw him do any of the things he’s accused of. I was frequently in his vicinity, on his private jet or in meetings with him, even stayed at the same hotel. Despite spending an exceptional amount of time with Vince, I never witnessed any problematic behavior. However, he was frequently busy on his phone, sending text messages, which might explain why I missed out on certain things. I’m aware a lot of communication with people was by text. I was just as puzzled as any other fan.”
In an unrelated podcast dubbed “The ARN Show”, Arn Anderson revealed whether he has been conferred a WWE Legends contract following his latest appearance. He has not been offered such a deal as of yet but he isn’t bothered by it. He envisions a scope for popping in sporadically.
Arn also talked about a wrestler named Gunther, praising his robustness and zeal. He said, “He just caught my eye in particular because he will just stand in there and bang it out with you. And everything he does is solid and has malice. You know, he’s just a really salty guy. I respect that.” He even discussed a potential face-off between Gunther and Cody Rhodes at the Crown Jewel event, anticipating a tough match for Cody.
