Kurt Angle Released By WWE, No Longer Working As A Producer

Being a wrestling legend and winning an Olympic gold medal with a broken freakin’ neck couldn’t save Kurt Angle’s producer job within WWE.
The WWE Hall of Famer is the latest victim of the rampant budget cuts within World Wrestling Entertainment. The company is making cutbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Angle returned to WWE in 2017 as RAW’s General Manager and wrestled his last match at WrestleMania 35 against Baron Corbin. He then transitioned into a backstage role helping wrestlers with their matches.
WWE’s website currently reads:
WWE has come to terms on the release of Kurt Angle, Drake Maverick (James Curtin), Curt Hawkins (Brian Myers), Karl Anderson (Chad Allegra), Luke Gallows (Drew Hankinson), Heath Slater (Heath Miller), Eric Young (Jeremy Fritz), EC3 (Michael Hutter), Aiden English (Matthew Rehwoldt) and Lio Rush (Lionel Green). We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
We wish the best to Angle at this time and hope he finds work soon.
