In 2018, a memorable event took place during a RAW episode where Triple H took a surprising swing at Kurt Angle. The scene later gained popularity on the internet as a meme.

The event unfolded during the RAW episode on the 26th of February, 2018. Kurt Angle had a faraway, whimsical look on his face while looking into the distance, then comes Triple H with a full force punch.

Appearing on a recent installment of the “Notsam Wrestling” podcast, Kurt Angle discussed the infamous incident and shared his insights about that moment, saying:

“I did that on purpose. I went [blows out], and I overexaggerated so Triple H had time to hit me. But it was so bad, it looked like I didn’t plan it. It was horrible [laughs].”

His explanation continued, “That was a pro wrestling, I guess, gimmick. That’s what pro wrestlers would do. It’s like when they sell, when they get hit in the stomach, and they turn around in a circle and come back to you. It’s like, ‘Why would they be turning in a circle?’ But me, I was doing the [blows out], ‘Hit me, hit me, hit me.’” [Laughs]

In related professional wrestling news, the official “WWE Vault” YouTube channel posted the full match where Rikishi and The Rock competed against Kane and Kurt Angle from the RAW episode aired on October 9th, 2000.
