Kurt Angle is a fan of WWE’s new World Heavyweight Championship but believes the title is definitely secondary to the gold held by Roman Reigns.

Tomorrow’s WWE Night of Champions event will see Seth Rollins and AJ Styles compete for the title in the finals of a 12-Superstar tournament.

Speaking on a bonus episode of his podcast, Angle, who was World Heavyweight Champion in 2006, shared his views on the title. He said,

“I like it. It has a good look to it. It looks innovative and new, it’s not old-fashioned. It’s definitely a new look.

“I mean, there’s no way around not thinking that the title is secondary… It is, it’s second. It is second. I’m sorry, but it is.”

The World Heavyweight Championship will serve as one of three main events for Night of Champions 2023.

Brock Lesnar will face Cody Rhodes on the show while Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will team with Solo Sikoa to challenge Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
