Kurt Angle recently joined “The Takedown” podcast where he made known that he was part of making an NFL advertisement featuring Kyle Brandt set to air over the weekend on CBS.
The advertisement will promote the next game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers, which is scheduled to broadcast on Sunday at 1:00 PM EST.
Angle, during the podcast, stated, “A lot of people continuously ask if I’ll be wrestling Cena during his retirement tour [laughs] but no, listen up, I have undergone knee replacements, five neck surgeries, back surgery last year, and am due for shoulder replacements. Given my physical condition, it’s risky to compete in wrestling. However, I do engage in some activities, for example, I’m participating in a CBS commercial tomorrow for the Steelers vs. Ravens game. Kyle Brandt and I will don singlets representing the Steelers and Ravens respectively for a pretend match. That’s our contribution to the pre-game commercial. I’m excited about that. I may perform my own stunts, however, that’s about it. I believe I could wrestle, but the risk of injury is too high.”
On the “Johnjay & Rich: After Words” podcast, GUNTHER, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, responded to remarks made by Damian Priest on RAW earlier in the week. Priest had critiqued GUNTHER, suggesting that his prowess had diminished since bagging the WWE World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam 2024.
GUNTHER admitted that dealing with occasional defeats had been a struggle for him, “I don’t know if he can relate because he loses a little bit more than I do, I never really lose. When I lose, sometimes it can be a struggle. It happens to the best, obviously. That’s my struggle and I have to figure it out. If he wants to take advantage of that, I don’t blame him. If I’m at my peak, he won’t even come close to my skills.”
On November 30, GUNTHER is set to defend his title against Priest at the WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
