In a stunning twist, Konosuke Takeshita clinched the AEW International Championship title at AEW WrestleDream 2024. In a riveting three-way match, Takeshita overcame formidable champions, the reigning champion, Will Ospreay, and fierce contender, Ricochet.
The victory was not without controversy, as friend-turned-foe Kyle Fletcher betrayed Ospreay. Concealed under a hoodie, Fletcher blindsided Ospreay preventing him from eliminating Don Callis.
Callis and Fletcher were in the ring when Takeshita achieved a decisive pin. The dramatic turnaround ended with Fletcher downing Will Ospreay with a devastating Tiger Driver.
