You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On why he likes the NJPW stylings from Forbidden Door II: “You got to remember that it’s in the name; strong style. So they like slapping the sh*t out of each other, forearming each other hard, falling on the back of their head. It’s a very physical, very logical style, when you take out the fighting spirit spot that you don’t like, which I don’t really give a f**k about, where they just forearm each other and nobody sells. People like that, that’s what they’ve been educated to … I like New Japan style. I always have.”

On the risk inherent in executing a Tiger Driver ’91: “You must really be a daredevil, an adrenaline junkie, and have a horseshoe, a rabbit’s foot, and a lucky charm up your ass to have somebody land all your weight on your neck and not think, ‘Bro, there’s a good chance I might be paralyzed, snap something, break something, tear something.’ I don’t know, it’s just dangerous to me.”

On the mindset behind using the finisher: “Here’s the thing, bro, and you gotta remember there’s guys that don’t give a sh*t if they don’t protect themself or even break something just to please the fans. They want it to look as realistic as possible, and if they get knocked out in the process, they do. There’s people like that.”
