As we have previously reported on eWn, AAA script coordinator Konnan was confined to the hospital for several weeks due to complications from diverticulitis and other health complications.
Although at one point Konnan’s health was in a serious condition, he has now started to recover, much to the astonishment of his doctors.
In a recent episode of his “K100” podcast, Konnan discussed his recent health scares. He explained:
“Approximately a month ago, I traveled to Miami for Triple A promotional duties for Univision, the largest Latin network in the United States. During my time there, I was experiencing a very unusual bathroom problem, both one and two, for three consecutive days. Upon arriving home, I asked my wife to help me with the constipation, something I had never experienced before.”
“My wife gave me prune juice, and though it did cause some internal upheaval, it did not help with the bigger issue – I was still unable to pee. My health began to decline rapidly – I started to shudder, and then I developed a terrible state of health. So, they admitted me to the hospital and diagnosed me with diverticulitis — I even had a new bacteria dwelling in my stomach that affected my brain, causing it to swell. To make matters worse, while on my way to the hospital in an ambulance, I suffered an unfortunate fall, resulting in a significant bump on my head and a torn leg.”
“Following that, issues with my cognitive functions arose due to the fact that for nearly three weeks, I was placed in an ICU. I could not comprehend the gravity of the situation, as I was unable to understand what the ICU was — which, of course, stands for intensive care unit. During this period, I was unable to communicate properly or open my eyes. I also developed a temporary memory loss issue, forgetting events almost immediately after they happened, owing to the diverticulitis bacteria.”
A disturbing revelation from Konnan was his accidental medication error at a recovery center, which caused uncontrollable shivering.
His wife, alarmed, rushed him to a hospital, and he was swiftly moved to the ICU amid fears of potential permanent brain damage.
Here at eWrestlingNews, Konnan is in our thoughts, and we continue to hope for his quick and full recovery.
