Wrestling icon Konnan has recently called out Tony Khan for what he deems his “petty” behaviour, accusing him of lengthening the Lucha Bros.’ contracts due to injury time.
News earlier in the year suggested that Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix were on their way out of AEW, looking to join WWE. However, it was later revealed that Rey Fenix would extend his stay at AEW for nearly a year to compensate for the in-ring time he lost due to injuries.
In his recent episode of the “Keepin It 100” podcast, Konnan scrutinized the updates about Lucha Bros., especially aimed at Tony Khan, where he stated,
“He’s petty. He’s a self-check. Nothing that I do will ever change him. He is what he is.”
Lucha Bros. have been a part of AEW since its establishment in 2019, with multiple titles to their names, including Tag Team and Trios Championships. Rey Fenix also has an International Championship record on his resume.
Over the past few years, WWE has incorporated several ex-AEW figures like Cody Rhodes, Ethan Page, Shawn Spears, Jade Cargill, and Lexis King into their lineup.
