Konnan On WWE NXT Possibly Opening A Brand In Mexico

Wrestling veteran Konnan isn’t opposed to the prospect of a WWE NXT brand that would operate solely within Mexico.

In October of last year, it was revealed that WWE has plans for NXT divisions outside of the U.S. including Mexico, and Japan.

More recently, WWE CEO Nick Khan brought up the idea of creating an NXT show in Mexico, and when asked about his view of the brand on his K100 podcast, Konnan was positive about Khan over his comments. He said,

“Well, he’s smart, boy.”

In March of this year, NXT head Shawn Michaels spoke about NXT Europe and the lengthy process of launching WWE’s upcoming brand.
